Parent Cafe
Our Parent Cafés are designed to be a safe space for parents to come together and receive information about key topics and then share information about what works with their own families!
Join us for a 1.5 or 2 hour session, of focused topics to help build trust and communication among your family. Topics include internet safety, screen time warnings, parenting tips and so much more. These sessions are designed to help parents and care takers enhance their support network while gathering information from our community partner leaders and moderators. When parents are able to share information, face-to-face, and ask questions without judgment or fear, it helps strengthen our entire community.
A sample session would look follow this format:
Meeting in a common, comfortable space.
5:00 – 5:30 Registration and Dinner
5:30 – Children go to supervised daycare room, parents to a meeting room
5:40 – Introductions and warm-up of material
5:50 – Café Conversations (2-20 minutes rounds)
6:30 – Conversation take aways
6:35 – Education and Statistics
6:50 – Closing and Next Steps
6:55 – Evaluation

The format is very flexible, but will always include information to share, and time for parent-to-parent conversations.
